My next medium I tried after the fluid acrylic was alcohol ink. Alcohol ink painting is a dynamic, fluid art style that relies on fast-drying, dye-based inks manipulated on non-porous surfaces. Because alcohol reactivates dried ink, the medium is uniquely forgiving and highly unpredictable. What surprised me the most about the alcohol ink was the total lack of control and how the ink seemingly "comes alive" the moment it hits the surface, color purity, translucency, and light refraction.
